What open- and click-through rates are reasonable to expect?
A question I hear all the time (and one I ask as well) is “I sent out x emails and only y% actually clicked through. Is this bad or good?”
Click through, by the way, refers to when your reader not only opens your email but actually clicks on a link in the email to check out an offer on your website.
The email marketing company, Mail Chimp, has compiled some extremely helpful stats on open- and click-through rates by product/service category (eg health & beauty, financial services, etc.)
If you’re wondering whether your open- and click-through rates are abysmal, about average, or spectacular, check out Mail Chimp’s stats by clicking here.
